Understanding Life Is On Your Side

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

The universe is a friendly place. And life is on your side.

Making this connection may be the best thing you can do in terms of realizing your own creative power. Life actually wants to give you what you desire, and in most cases you are blocking or resisting the process.

Your “job” is less about working hard and putting the pieces together and more about having faith in the flow and allowing things to come together for you. Once you understand that all of universal reality is basically supporting you and moving you forward it becomes pretty easy to see yourself achieving basic things like money and love.

Consider This…

Since the start of history - and probably before - humanity has sought a relationship with the intelligent universe. Divinity, creation, god, life, the Tao, and hundreds of other words exemplify our efforts to discuss the intangible, thinking substance from which all of life springs.

Let’s put aside any specific religious beliefs, as well as any aversion to spiritual concepts. And let’s just have a look at the basic science of life.

Everything that we know of in the universe, from thought and sound to the most solid matter, consists of energy. In fact the energetic foundation of all things- solid, liquid, gas, light, sound, electricity, ALL of it - exists in wave form.

Even solid matter is just a wave of potential energy until it is observed via consciousness.

This sounds pretty wild, but it’s a basic fundamental law of science. I’m not a trained scientist, but there is more than enough free information published online by researchers, universities, and scientific organizations to verify what I’m saying.

All things are made of vibrating information that can take form according to how it is viewed by the creative force of consciousness. This notion becomes even more compelling when you think about how our brains work, i.e. how we see, hear, etc. with certain parts of our brain and not with our sense organs.

My point is this: Everything in the universe, at the most basic level, is very much like a thought.

It is indeed safe to say that life, the universe, etc. is intelligent.

And it’s also easy to prove this intelligent basic force has your best interests at heart. Just look at the core mechanics of biology.

Think of how a seed becomes a plant, grows, flourishes, and by the simple act of living creates hundreds of new seeds to perpetuate the life cycle. Look at the infinite examples of intelligent planning found in nature.

Look at your own makeup. The systems and cells in your body are beyond amazing.

Miles of blood vessels and one seriously powerful pump keep blood and nutrients flowing throughout your physical form every second of every day without your having to give a thought to the whole process. Your organs automatically handle the digestion and allocation of specific fuels and building materials throughout every system of your body, again without your needing to plan and think.

You have a highly sophisticated emotional guidance system that tells you in every moment whether or not the future you are currently creating is in alignment with your desires. You even have an intuitive center that gives you the right answer to your questions every time once you learn to listen.

You are no accident. You came to be on purpose, and the whole of life is supporting not only your survival, but your prosperity… if you let it.

Practice believing life is on your side. Cultivate the acceptance of purpose and design, and begin to look for signs that intelligent universal substance is supporting your highest good.

Once you come to believe that life is friendly, and the universe wants you to thrive, your whole perspective will be refreshed. This shift of paradigm is astonishingly powerful and for many people it’s the only thing needed to begin living at a much fuller capacity.

Using The Law Of Attraction: Change The World By Changing Your Mind

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Your thoughts and feelings not only create your personality, but also have a very real impact on the world around you. This article will show you how you can change ?outside? events by focusing on your inner world.

Ancient cultures knew the inner world of mind was a reflection of the outer, material world and vice versa. Modern science, through quantum physics and neurology, has finally caught up with these profound teachings.

What ancient sages called oneness, or unity, is obvious in all of life. The cells in your body work together in the same way various elements of the world?s most fragile ecosystems coordinate and flow.

In fact we see an amazing synchronicity when we compare the particles and nuclei of the atomic world to the planetary bodies and stars of the heavens. The same circular relationships and serendipitous arrangements are apparent beneath the microscope and through the lens of our most powerful telescopes.

You are part of an incredible universe, and your thoughts, feelings, and actions reverberate throughout all reality. An honest look at your own life will reveal the direct connection of deep thoughts to physical phenomena; sadly we have been trained by mainstream society to be obtuse, and to ignore these obvious signs.

Fortunately, many diligent researchers across the globe have shed light on the very real impact our thoughts have on the outer world. Among the most compelling of these studies are the numerous examinations of how prayer and/or meditation can be used to alter weather patterns, eliminate disease in test subjects, and even reduce crime rates.

World-renowned scientist Dr. John Hagelin has participated in numerous studies on the external effects of group meditation. During the summer of 1994 one such study successfully reduced crime by 25% in Washington, D.C, earning the vocal support of the FBI and D.C. metro police.

The results of the D.C. experiment were actually predicted ahead of time, based on 12 previous studies in other cities! The question then becomes not ?is this possible?, but rather ?why are these studies not given proper publicity and government support??

In view of this and other research, one is within reason to wonder what could happen if the world population took a serious look at the power of thought. What kind of amazing results could we produce if we focused our collective attention on any one global problem?

On a smaller scale, the reader is urged to take renewed responsibility for his or her own patterns of thought and feeling. Sustained positive thought can benefit not only the individual, but also the people in his or her life.

It doesn?t take research data to prove your attitude has a definite impact on the people you come into contact with. In fact you can likely remember more than one occasion when you were able to lift the spirits of someone else just by smiling at them.

And how many times have you gone to work, either in a very good or very bad mood, and soon realized your disposition was ?rubbing off? on co-workers? Most likely your goal had not been to effect others, and yet you did!

What could happen if you made it your intention to share your ?good vibrations? with others? I challenge you proactively put as much positive energy into the world as possible.

You are not the powerless individual you might have previously thought of yourself as. You possess the very real ability to influence the world around you, so if you don?t like the way things are at this moment, do your part to initiate change from within.

You can have fun using the law of attraction and do your part to make the world a better place for everyone! Learn to master your thoughts and create your ideal life starting right now.

A Good Mental “Pop Up Killer”…

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

Negative thinking… it’s a killer of dreams and drainer of energy. And we all suffer from it on some level.

It can be pretty frustrating to accept all the spontaneous doubts and fears that just leap out of our minds like unwanted pop up windows. It can be like surfing the Web a couple of years ago: you’re crusing along just fine when out of nowhere… BAM… you get it by a pop up that won’t close!

And I was just thinking about how new Web browsers and default operating system tools have made the pop up ad pretty much obsolete on the Internet. By the same token we can achieve a state of mind where negative thinking is reduced to a passing shadow.

We can install a sort of pop up killer in our minds that eradicates negative thoughts and images the moment they occur. Keep reading for suggestions on how I do this.

It’s worth pointing out that our tendency to think in “negative” terms is believed by scientists to be an attribute left over from a more primitive time. Thousands of years ago (and longer) our species had a lot of “competition” and numerous natural enemies; it is commonly assumed the general state of awareness for early humans was one of negative expectation.

Survival actually depended on assuming the worst possibility was waiting just over the next hill or that great danger was constantly at hand. Today, with less legitimate concern about predators (in the developed world at least) and far less worry associated with basic survival needs, this instinctive mental energy is channeled into other forms of apprehension.

So if you struggle with doubt, fear, mistrust, and insecurity the fact is you are functioning from a somewhat normal state. But the good news is that we don’t have to accept this condition as permanent.

Since we are far more developed than our primitive ancestors we can choose to recognize the “flaw” in our thought patterns and actively deal with it. Here’s how:

Recognizing What Thoughts Really Are (And Aren’t)

First of all, we can understand that our thoughts flow constantly through our minds. Perhaps they come from memories, current experience, and impressions that have been suggested by others; whatever their source the majority of our thoughts just rise and subside constantly like tidal waters.

We do not have to identify or associate directly with any of the thoughts that pass through our minds. We are NOT our thoughts - in fact our thoughts are simply a naturally occurring stream of information produced by the phenomenon of consciousness.

What this essentially means is you can affirm to yourself that your thoughts do not own you, nor are they a firm representation of who/what you are! You have the power to entertain and accept only those thoughts that serve you, and to simply let negative thoughts pass away.

This realization was one of the most empowering moments of my life. In fact coming to this point in your self-awareness is very much a part of the mental and emotional enlightenment that spiritual adepts seek through years of meditation and contemplation.

There is no need to feel threatened or controlled by your thoughts. You can simply choose to acknowledge and use them, to watch them as they drift away, or to pay them no heed at all!

Transmuting Negative Thoughts Without Resisting Them

Another powerful technique you can use is to simply recognize a negative thought and then use the momentum of the thought process to literally transmute, or transform, it into positive thinking.

Once you become aware of negative thinking or images, immediately ask yourself: “What is it I really want?”

This provides you with the opportunity to insert your positive alternative and, using the energy created by the initial negative thought, literally transform your current thought process to a supportive one. For example…

Let’s say Claire is driving to meet her date at the movies for their first time out. She begins to imagine him turning out to be a jerk who is only interested in her for physical reasons; this is a common issue with men she meets and this concern pops up often when she meets someone new.

Immediately upon becoming aware of the negative thought she asks herself: “If I don’t want to meet another jerk, then what is it I really want?”

She answers the question with: “I want a guy who has a real interest in getting to know who I am, what I like and don’t like, and what I think about important issues.”

With this, she finds herself imagining the man she is on her way to meet as a charming character who asks her lots of questions and hangs on her every word. And he’s not just playing along - he really seems to want to hear her thoughts! In a matter of seconds Claire is immersed in a vivid fantasy about having her ideal date!

This is a very powerful advanced thought technique. It takes a little practice, and it requires you to seek awareness of the current moment throughout your day. But it is definitely something you can master with just a little work.

I hope these ideas help you overcome your negative thinking and install your own mental pop up killers.
